Better Fathers, Better Families, Better Future
The Seahorse Academy aims to highlight local small businesses while producing interactive “dine-and-learn” outlets for fathers and their offspring.
The seahorse is a member of the Syngnathidae family whose males uniquely carry its offspring to term. This is in stark contrast to human childbirth where most of the physical and emotional toll falls on the mother. As a father, it's all we can do to help less the burden going forward. This initiative is a step in that direction. Dad takes the kid(s) for a night of interactive education, cuisine, and community. Mom gets a break, and dad “carries the offspring” for a bit.
